Riverside Resort Casino confirms data breach

A data breach that exposed private information on over 55,000 customers has been confirmed by Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino in Southern Nevada.

It is claimed that sensitive consumer data, such as names and Social Security numbers, was accessed by an unauthorized party.

The US gaming industry is currently experiencing its latest cyberattack. The FBI has long alerted tribal casinos to the fact that they are easy targets for hackers; however, after hackers gained access to MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment last year, industry fears grew.
