Romania's National Gambling Office cancels license of Betting Frenzy

A tax investigation by Romania's National Gaming Office has resulted in the license of Bucharest-based operator Betting Frenzy being revoked.

The company had not declared and paid its taxes, including the 0.2% fee to the National Paralympic Committee and the 1% contribution to the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, according to the investigation.

Legislation enacted in Romania in 2022 mandates that operators pay these fees to the relevant organizations if they provide games of chance.
