Rotary poker tournament to be held in Cochrane on May 4th

On May 4, the inaugural Rocky Mountain Rotary Poker Tournament will take place, and while it may not be in Texas, you can be sure to hold 'em.

Cards will be dealt at the Glen Eagles Golf Course from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The buy-in for a seat at the table is $150.

The tournament is being organized in association with BGC Cochrane. It's been reported that the top three winners will get extravagant prizes, even though there won't be any cash awards.

I have always watched these kind of tournaments on YouTube and have never had the chance to experience one live, so this is great news to me. The buy-in price is slightly high for my budget since the exchange rate is very high where I'm from. But I'm hoping to save up over the next month so I can make the trip to Calgary and participate. It would be such a memorable experience for me.
