Do expert card counters and poker players often appear as con artists or criminals in crime novels? I don't read a lot of crime novels myself but from movies sure they do. The criminal usually needs money quick and conning rich guys at poker seems a fast way to get cash. Probably in real life the number of criminal pro poker players are very less.
