Running Aces casino operator files lawsuit against tribal casinos in Minnesota

The managers of three tribal casinos are the targets of a federal racketeering lawsuit brought by one of Minnesota's two horse racing tracks. The Columbus harness track operator Running Aces claims that two tribal casinos are running card games against state and federal gambling laws.

Although plaintiffs' attorneys also use the federal RICO Act as a foundation for civil lawsuits unrelated to organized crime, the lawsuit was brought under this statute, which is most famous for federal criminal cases involving gangs.
