Sandro Tonali has a gambling problem, according to his agent.

Tonali, who arrived at St James' Park for more than £50m during the summer, and Nicolo Zaniolo from Aston Villa were sent back from Italy's national team camp last Thursday after being questioned by police regarding an investigation into illegal gambling. Nicolo Fagioli from Juventus was also approached by prosecutors in Turin - he has subsequently received a seven-month ban and a €12,500 fine after confessing his guilt and agreeing to a plea deal. The situation concerning Tonali and Zaniolo remains unresolved at this point, but sources have informed that any potential betting misconduct doesn't seem to be connected to football.
