Six years have been served in prison for a woman who met victims in a pub and conned them out of almost half a million pounds.
In connection with the scams that occurred between 2011 and 2024, the offender entered a guilty plea to five counts of fraud by false representation last Friday.
The suspect allegedly made friends with most of her victims in Norwich pubs, telling them she needed money to cover the cost of legal representation in a civil case involving inheritance she claimed was hers. This was all revealed to Norwich Crown Court. £440,000 was stolen by her.
She faked emails and claim forms in order to gain the trust of her victims.
