In retail store checkout solutions that integrate with retailers' existing point-of-sale technology and lotteries' central gaming systems, Scientific Games and Abacus have announced their new technological partnership.
This means that both self-checkout and a manned counter will be able to sell lottery tickets.
The collaboration will make use of the cloud-based Abacus software and the SCiQ lottery retail ecosystem from Scientific Games, which includes a digital menu board. Customers will be able to purchase lottery games at the in-store checkout along with other items thanks to the new technological advancement.
