Scotland council member implores government to raise more awareness over gambling

A Glasgow council member has called for greater awareness of the issues surrounding gambling addiction. The Shettleston Councilor is concerned that people with gambling addictions are not considered or cared for in the same way as drug or alcohol addicts

It comes after the UK Government confirmed last month it would bring forward a statutory levy on gambling operators to generate £100 million for the research, prevention and treatment of gambling harms.

This is definitely a much good and desired thing and that is why it must always be done that awareness should always be provided to the players as well as the community so that they can always have the learning about being responsible when they are doing any such activity and they are able to control their activities as well accordingly
