Security guard of prime minister arrested for wagering on election date

After an investigation into suspected bets on the timing of the general election, a police officer who was assigned to protect the British prime minister was taken into custody.

After being detained, the bodyguard was eventually freed on bond while more investigation was being conducted.
The suspect is employed by the Met's Royalty and Specialist Protection Command, which offers political figures and members of the Royal Family individualized protection.
