Major changes to how casinos are run in Greece will be a hot subject over the next few weeks. The Hellenic Gaming Commission has proposed three amendments that are currently open for discussion among members of Greece's gambling industry. One of the proposed new measures is the establishment of a national self-exclusion register as part of an overhaul of Greece's existing player protection legislation. The draft regulation allows athletes to determine the duration of their self-exclusion, which ranges from one week to ten months. Self-exclusion can be lifted only once the excluded player submits a request to lift the ban after the specified time period has passed.
