Shareholders of Caesars Entertainment reject studies on smoke-free casinos

It appears that the recent proposal to research the effects of smoke-free casinos has not been approved by Caesars Entertainment's shareholders. Gambling companies and their investors are determined to keep things as they are, despite the ardent advocacy of activists for smoke-free casinos based on health concerns.

Following Caesars' assertion that change is unnecessary, about 80% of his shareholders voted against the proposal. The casino operator clarified that it currently complies with local regulations and called its smoking policy a "complex business decision."
