A former executive at Singapore's Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) who admitted stealing and selling items from the government organization will serve the next 25 months in jail. 45-year-old Zulkiflie Yacob worked for the CRA. The city-state's prosecutors claimed in court last year that Yacob took more than 750 printer cartridges while employed at the CRA between April 1, 2016, and October 30, 2018, and then sold them online. Yacob acknowledged buying extra printing supplies so he could resell some of them on Singapore's well-known online classifieds site Carousell.Prosecutors argued at Yacob's sentencing this week that the risk of the public losing faith in the government organization justifies a lengthy jail sentence.
