Sorare.com, a multibillion-dollar fantasy soccer website, entered a not guilty plea to three charges of providing unlicensed gambling in the United Kingdom.
In Birmingham Magistrates Court last Friday, the Paris-based platform, which enables users to exchange soccer playing cards in the form of NFTs, formally entered its plea through its attorneys.
Because it does not provide gambling as defined by British law, the French company reiterated that it is exempt from the need for a gambling license in the UK.
