As part of its efforts to protect collegiate athletics in the face of the spread of legalized gambling, the Southeastern Conference announced on Thursday that it will make player availability reports available for football, baseball, and basketball prior to league games this season.
Schools must submit availability reports, beginning on Wednesday and including daily updates until the final report is submitted 90 minutes before kickoff, three days ahead of each SEC football game, according to a policy approved by league members.
