The Chinese Football Association on Tuesday banned 43 individuals for alleged corruption, including a South Korean international soccer player. The player claims he was threatened by Chinese police into making a false confession to match-fixing.
Holding him on "suspicion of accepting bribes by non-state employees," he stated that he was forced to confess.
In order to demonstrate that the confession was forced, he demanded that the Chinese government make the audio recordings of the interviews available.
