Spain Supreme Court scraps number of gambling ad restrictions

After the Spanish Digital Gaming Association filed an appeal, the Supreme Court of Spain lifted several limitations on gambling-related advertising.

The regulations forbade sponsorship agreements with operators in an effort to limit the amount of gambling advertising that minors in Spain were exposed to.

The hours of 1am to 5am were reserved for advertising on TV, radio, and YouTube. Additionally, only promotions intended for current social media followers may be targeted by operator brands.
