Sweden’s National Audit Office has initiated an audit of Spelinspektionen (SGA) to scrutinize the effectiveness of the SGA's market oversight. The investigation by Riksrevisionen into Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority) will evaluate the body's ability to adapt to the challenges posed by the re-regulation of the Swedish gambling market in 2019.
The findings of the review are scheduled to be released in September 2024. When announcing the investigation, Riksrevisionen outlined Spelinspektionen’s duties and purpose. Riksrevisionen will assess how Spelinspektionen fulfills its responsibility to supervise the regulated market, which was established to enhance channelization.
