Following a 16-month inquiry, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises has been found not to have any suitability issues with its investments in The Star Entertainment Group and the Queen's Wharf Brisbane development, according to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in Brisbane.
After media reports surfaced indicating connections between Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Asian-based junkets, the investigation was launched.
The investigation, which was completed in February 2024, involved a great deal of scrutiny and included formal and informal discussions with various parties, financial record reviews, and interviews with senior management. The results show that there is not enough data to conclude that the organization is not a good fit for the investments it has made.
