Star Sydney casino branded unsuitable for casino license acquisition

The Australian Star Entertainment Group has once more been deemed ineligible to possess a gaming license in New South Wales for its Sydney operation.

This week marked the conclusion of the 2024 Independent Inquiry Into The Star, which found that the company is still unfit to manage gaming operations at The Star Sydney. After rival Crown Resorts' Crown Melbourne, the integrated resort, which debuted in 1995, is Australia's second-largest casino.
