Study reveals casino visitations have dropped since 2019 but players have spent more

Although fewer people have visited casinos since 2019, revenue per visitor has marginally increased, with some regions seeing declines.

The study found that compared to 2019, the number of casino visits has dropped by roughly 13.6%. The number of visitors to casinos has stayed relatively constant in 2024 and 2025. According to the study, Boyd Gaming, Churchill Downs, Caesars Entertainment, Monarch Casino Resorts, and Penn Entertainment all had data that was largely neutral to slightly negative.
