Study reveals that tourism revenue could rise in Thailand via legalization of casinos

According to a study, legalizing casinos located inside sizable entertainment complexes and addressing long-term illicit gambling could increase tourism revenue in Thailand by approximately $12 billion.

After the entertainment hubs are constructed, average tourist spending might increase by 52% to $1,790 per trip, generating an extra $1.33 million in revenue, according to a study by a panel of lawmakers that is scheduled to be presented to parliament on Thursday. According to the report, the additional revenue could support the nation's GDP growth by 1.16 percentage points.
