Sunday Oliseh pays tribute to and calls the late Brazilian legend Pele his hero.

In addition to the millions of people around the world who are mourning the late football legend Pele, former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has paid tribute to the late Pele. Pele passed away on Thursday night, December 29. Pele was one of the best football players to ever play the game, as evidenced by his great performances while still actively playing, including his three World Cup victories.

The Brazilian spent several days in a hospital in Sao Paulo before he passed away, although it was reported that he had ceased responding to therapy. The 82-year-old lost his tragic life after a protracted fight with illness.

It is pity that death could not occur to a man without attributing it to certain cause. Even though the man had been passing through protracted illness called cancer, yet he was old enough and he lived a successful life. His death was not a tragedy to his family and the world in general. We shall all miss him. Farewell and rest in peace.
