Sunderland man arrested for throwing chair at ex-girlfriend at Coral bookmakers

After attacking a bookmaker, a man threw a chair at his ex's head and was sentenced to prison.

When the criminal was apprehended, he claimed that his alcoholism prevented him from remembering the attack.

With 174 convictions in his past, the 63-year-old acknowledged assault and common assault.

The offender was given an eight-month prison sentence by the presiding judge, along with a restraining order to keep the victim safe.
