Swedish gambling operator notes downward trend in new report

Despite the rate stabilizing this year, a Swedish gaming operator claims that the online gaming channelization rate is still on a "downward" trend.
They did point out, though, that its prediction needs to be contrasted with the 90% goal set by the Swedish government.

The chief's remarks are in reference to the recent hike in the licensee gambling tax, which went from 18% to 22% in July.

This trend is attributed to the rise of unlicensed platforms, which bypass regulations and consumer protections. Industry leaders are calling for stricter enforcement, regulatory reforms, and enhanced player safeguards to address the competitive disadvantage faced by licensed operators and mitigate risks to consumers.

The taxes always need to be moderate such factors can affect the growth of the sector very much actually which can be a cause fofconcern for the companies out there in the industry indeed most of the times actually as well
