Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling against public transport gambling ad ban

The secretary director of The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling believes that the decision to outlaw online gambling advertising on Stockholm's public transportation is a mistake.

He discussed the ban in an opinion piece, claiming that it would harm both industries. He brought up the fact that gambling advertisements are displayed on Stockholm public transportation for about $2.8 million a year. But the prohibition might result in an annual revenue loss of more than $7 million.

The executive went on to say that the Stockholm transportation sector would only suffer financial losses if the Swedish gambling industry began running advertisements on foreign media channels.
