Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling comments on stringent measures

The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling has responded to the Swedish Ministry of Finance's proposed revisions to the Money Laundering Act. Anti-Money Laundering breaches would be elevated to the same level as those under the Gambling Act, resulting in increased fines. The association also recommended that the punishment fees be consistent with the gambling industry's financial health and credibility. This is because present penalty fines are based on total turnover, resulting in large fees for businesses.
