Tabcorp casino fined $182,200 for permitting underage gambling

In order to undermine the safety and integrity of the gambling industry, Tabcorp was fined $182,200 for its failure to prevent a minor from gambling in 13 locations.

The industry's integrity and safety have been compromised, according to the watchdog, by the betting giant's focus on upping the ante by developing the most captivating betting and entertainment experiences.

A magistrate on Thursday fined Tabcorp $182,200 without finding it guilty, despite the company's admission that it should have stopped the minor from wagering and failed to provide adequate supervision for its electronic betting terminals.
