I am aware that there is tendency for the government to receive taxes on the amount you have won from the winning lotto ticket. This is not applicable to most of the countries because in Nigeria we did not pay taxes on the money we won through our lottery ticket . All the money that we have win is ours except if you want to tip the Lotto agent.

There are so many countries that are receiving taxes on winning tickets from lottery but in my country the government do not receive taxes. you will receive your full payment without the reduction of any amount.

In my region there's no tax on lotto winings ticket, it's free and yiu don't need to pay any money on wining ticket, but the Lotto company pays a little sum of money to the government as revenue yearly which is still better

Taxes on lotto tickets can be a complicated matter, as they vary depending on the jurisdiction and the type of lottery ticket. The tax rate on lottery winnings is usually determined by the amount of the prize and the winner's filing status.

I think taxes on lotto tickets can indeed be a complicated matter as they depend on various factors such as jurisdiction, type of lottery ticket, amount of prize, and filing status of the winner. In most cases, lottery winnings are subject to federal and state income tax, as well as any other applicable local taxes.
