Tennessee business raided for illegal gambling

After authorities looked for illegal gambling, the proprietor of a convenience store in Tennessee was taken into custody on Friday.

Along with possessing a gambling device or record, the suspect was also accused of aggravated gambling promotion, resisting or obstructing a legal writ or process, and gambling promotion. Local prosecutors were given charge of his case after he was checked into the Crockett County jail.

Two gaming machines, ledgers, payout slips, and $4,208 were taken by the police during the raid, they said.
