To discourage ticket sales to minors, the Texas Lottery has added age verification features to its self-service vending machines throughout the state.
In an effort to reduce underage gambling, the Texas Lottery formally added a step to the ticket purchase process when using a self-service vending machine as of Dec. 30, 2024.
To buy lottery tickets or redeem prizes at stores, players must be at least eighteen years old, according to Texas state law.
