Text messages reveal Star Entertainment's plot against New South Wales gambling regulator

Over the past few years, Star Entertainment Group—Australia'stopgaming and entertainment company—has been embroiled in a major scandal involving regulatory violations. The company was found to be unfit to hold a casino license in both Queensland and New South Wales after investigations into its operations were conducted.

According to recently disclosed information, the management of Star planned to fire the auditor and fight the NSW gaming authority. The former CEO of Star and the chairman of the company presented their correspondence on Monday. According to the communication, the two exchanged messages discussing the potential removal of the man who was assigned to assist in making sure the Star complies with its licensing requirements.
