A court in Austria fined Electronic Arts (EA) €10,800 ($11,750) for violating the nation's gambling rules by selling FIFA Ultimate Team packs. Electronic Arts (EA) has decided not to appeal the ruling.
Although it still has the ability to appeal, Sony was ordered to repay impacted players for purchases they made via the PlayStation Store after being implicated in the incident in March.
Even though EA continues to argue with the ruling, the Austrian court's judgment is final.
A representative for EA responded to the issue by saying, "We disagree with the court's ruling and feel it got the facts and the rules in this instance incorrect.
