What constitutes the fine line between poker confidence and arrogance at the table? Confidence is essential to succeed as a poker player, however, too much ego can be off-putting and counterproductive. Being able to read opponents and make calculated risks requires a certain swagger, but excessive boasting, dismissive remarks, and condescension towards other players likely stem from insecurity rather than skill. As they say, the good players talk about ideas while the great players discuss other people. Where do you walk that line at the poker table and how does it impact your game?
