The KSA fines LCS €2.1 million for operating without a license.

The Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Dutch regulatory body for gambling, has issued a fine of €2.1m to LCS Limited, a Malta-based company, for the unauthorized operation in the Netherlands. After a year of legal disputes, the KSA decided to penalize LCS, which holds a license from the Malta Gaming Authority, for providing gambling services without the necessary authorization on its Sonofslots.com online gaming platform. This action is in violation of the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act, which requires all operators to obtain a local license in order to offer gaming services legally. The initial penalty was imposed by the KSA in August 2022, with an amount of €165,000. Additionally, the KSA has instructed LCS, the operator registered in Malta, to immediately cease all unlicensed gambling activities.

It's good that LCS got fined for operating without a license. It's important for companies to follow the laws and regulations of the countries they operate in. I hope this serves as a warning to other companies thinking of doing the same. Do you think this fine will be a deterrent?
