The MGC Chair is concerned about the low use of responsible gambling tools.

During the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) meeting chaired by Catherine Judd-Stein on November 27th, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, PSI, and WynnBet presented their Q3 results for sports wagering.

The four operators took the opportunity to provide updates on their revenue and various initiatives, including responsible gambling, lottery engagement, and diversity in sports betting.

Chair Judd-Stein expressed concerns about the low utilization rate of responsible gambling tools among consumers in the Bay State, based on the data presented.

In the meeting, Jake List, the senior director of regulatory operations at DraftKings, explained that less than 0.1% of their customers actively used time limits. Furthermore, only 2.3% of customers utilized deposit limits, while spending limits were reported to be used by only 0.13% of customers. Wager limits were imposed by a mere 0.4% of all users.
