The Minister of Communication asserts that 800 online gambling accounts are blocked each week.

Budi Arie Setiadi, minister of communication and informatics, outlined the ministry's efforts to ban internet gambling in general and slot gaming in particular. The government disables gaming accounts in addition to removing the online gambling application and website. In addition, he added, the Directorate General of Informatics Applications had informed Budi Arie that 800 gaming accounts were being blocked daily. Budi Arie made it clear that his ministry will outlaw internet gambling. For such a number of accounts to be deleted, there must be something fishy. It is either the government is trying to regulate the betting industry by making sure that the underaged are not involved in gambling.
