North Carolina is getting ready to start online sports betting soon. The state approved March 11 as the start date, but people can sign up for accounts starting March 1 and put money in them.
This was planned when Governor Roy Cooper signed a law last year. The state just gave out two full licenses to companies and seven provisional licenses.
There's also a program to help people avoid gambling problems.
