For many gamblers, it feels like some numbers are "due" in roulette wheels or dice rolls. But truly random events have no memory.
Each roll or spin is independent. Past results don't impact the future. We humans see patterns where none exist. Our brains are wired to connect dots, even when those connections are coincidental. The myth of 'due to hit' persists because we want so badly to believe that we can predict and control chance. But the truth is there are no secretly seeded outcomes, only random numbers spat out without preference or memory.
