The payments company Nubank has come under fire from the National Association of Games and Lotteries for sending out anti-gambling warnings to its clients regarding transfers to Brazilian gambling websites.
The bank shows an on-screen message that reads, "How about saving this money? " when transactions made through Nubank's Pix instant payment service are deemed to be connected to gambling. It then reads “While some of these games are legal in Brazil, winning is not guaranteed. You can be confident that this money will produce results without any concerns if you save it rather than wager on it.”
