The racing media payments of the UK's top five bookmakers will increase by £30 million.

The monetary contribution provided to British horse racing by the largest bookmakers in the country is anticipated to grow in 2024, as reported by the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC). Payments from Entain, Flutter Entertainment, bet365, 888/William Hill, and Betfred are projected to increase by £30m, according to the organization responsible for setting standards and the trade association. This unprecedented surge in expenses for broadcasting races will result in a total payment of £285.3m for 2023, representing a 5.6% increase compared to the £270.1m paid in 2022. BGC members are optimistic that costs will rise by a further 10.5% to reach £315.2m in 2024.
