The role of luck in using the BJA strategy chart

I find the BJA (BetJumpAhead) strategy very effective in beating the house edge but I wonder how much luck also plays a part. In my experience, I still lose some days even when strictly following the chart because the cards just don't fall in my favor. What has been your experience? Do you think there is still an important role for luck besides just sticking to the BJA strategy? I would appreciate hearing from other experienced players on their views.
