The VGCCC has instructed Tabcorp to convert most of its EBTs in Victoria to cashless mode to prevent minors from using them for gambling.
EBTs not near counters must be cashless. Around 70% of Tabcorp 1,800 EBTs are expected to accept vouchers only by late January.
Cashless use requires a valid voucher, with staff checking IDs for customers under 25. A mystery shopper-style program will ensure proper ID checks and adherence to cashless betting rules.
