There will be widespread, legal sports betting in America for the first World Cup, with a $1.8b wager expected.

The World Cup of this year is the first men's competition since the Supreme Court's decision to lift the federal ban on sports betting in 2018 allowed an expanding number of states to legalize the practice.
As opposed to barely 10million during the last World Cup four years ago, 132m Americans are now thought to reside in states where sports betting is permitted.

This is a good news to the sport lovers that are ala into betting. I just don't know why America don't want to legalize sport betting in its states to the gamblers to enjoy. If they are expecting up to like $1.8 billion wager, it shows how productive sport betting can be in America
