You bet your ass them coaches hate when a student pushes them away from the trough. See, them coaches can keep peddling new courses and insights, but only as long as they got thirsty fish biting. Once a player develops enough natural feel for the game to realize them courses are snake oil, the money dries up quick.
The smart ones though, they keep their students on some kind of monthly retainer or subscription, so even after the initial sale they got a steady feed. But still, any sensible poker player will eventually outgrow the need to pay for pointers. And when they do, them coaches start seeing red. Their gravy train is leaving the station without them!
Doesn't matter though, because real skill and instincts can't be taught. You think Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu pay any mind to poker coaches? Hell no, they got to where they are by locking in at the tables for years, making their own decisions, and developing a feel for the game that can't be captured in any course or video. The games'll always expand a player's mind better than any coach.
