In this one, Toronto has the superior starting pitcher, a stronger bullpen, a much better offense, and home-field advantage. Throughout his career, the opposing pitcher has had problems with the Blue Jays. That doesn't even take into account his struggles in 2023. Detroit's offense could randomly explode in this one, but given that they've been the worst offense in baseball for the first few weeks, it doesn't seem likely. The Tigers are on a five-game losing streak. Aside from the randomness of baseball, there aren't many valid reasons to expect the Tigers to compete in this game. Toronto will reign supreme once more.
