Torquay United footballer punished over betting violations

The Football Association has charged Austen Booth, a defender for Torquay United, with wagering on football games. Before he signed with the aforementioned team, the player made 289 bets on football games over a nearly four-year period, from August 2017 to July 2021. This is the second FA charge pertaining to betting in the last few months, which is quite worrying to say the least.
