Manchester City enters this game having dropped their previous two games. Following a disappointing loss in the Carabao Cup at Southampton, a contentious Premier League defeat at Manchester United occurred. City hasn't dropped three straight games since October of last year. Both of City's most recent defeats came on the road, and the team has gone two Premier League home games without a victory. After a defeat by Brentford, a home draw with struggling Everton was the next match. Since playing four straight home games without a victory in October or November of 2016, this is their poorest home run in the Premier League. Prior to the matches against Brentford and Everton, City had won each of their previous seven home league games.
