Treasurer arrested for using town cards to fund gambling addiction

Last month, a former Gregg Township, Pennsylvania, secretary/treasurer was accused with stealing $532,747.67 using local credit cards. He allegedly gambled on sports with the money. About $20K was charged to the town's credit cards for DraftKings expenditures in January 2024 and every month after that. According to investigators, the criminal redirected funds from a $500K loan for a road project, falsified budget data, and concealed credit card balances in local expenses.
