Bally's Corporation has filed for permission to implode the historic Tropicana Las Vegas, and Clark County has granted it. The Rhode Island-based business has until October 20 to abandon the Tropicana.
Although the approval was given on April 20, nine days after the permit was submitted, it still needs to be activated with the payment of $48,000 in application fees.
Bally's will have to pay $15 million for the implosion, according to the application.
